Job Description

As Axiro’s OSAT Manager, you will support all test and backend OSAT operations across RF & Connectivity, 5G mmWave, and SATCOM product lines leveraging SiGe, GaAs, and GaN technologies. You will be responsible for ATE bring-up at OSATs, managing engineering test activities with internal and external planning teams, and driving KPI performance for NPI and sustaining operations, including yield, test time, capacity, and cost. The role includes establishing and maintaining Test and Backend Specifications, overseeing test hardware procurement and duplication, and ensuring smooth product transfers, reliability support, and audit readiness. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives in process efficiency, quality, and cost to deliver world-class OSAT performance and achieve Axiro’s operational and AOP objectives.

Regular Activities: Test & Backend

• New Test & Backend OSATs bring up (process, system). Working with Product Group and Procurement Department for process & equipment capability/survey/assessment study on respective new test/backend OSAT.
• Ensure the smoothness of product intro & production ramp, quick resolution on issues.
• Assisting Product Group in Axiro’s PLM system data setup.
• Support & sustaining OSATs test & backend (process, packing & labeling) related activity.
• Test hardware purchase /sustaining and managing the OSAT test hardware inventory, Responsible for hardware duplication for production ramp.
• Coordinate with product engineering on product transfer (capacity transfer and NPI) to OSATs and assist in production lot disposition.
• Coordinate and assist engineering on RMA return test support activity at OSAT & assist in FA solution.
• Coordinate with QA for the Test Support on the reliability test for product/package qual at OSAT.
• Drive improvement & managing quality/yield in test/backend processes.
• Support QA regular audit and customer’s audit at OSATs.
• Ensuring OSAT meeting the test operation key performance goal (yield performance, quality indices, engineering support, CIP etc.).
• Continuously drive for product integrity, quality ownership, manufacturing process optimization, operational yield improvement, test/backend process qualification/benchmarking and cost reduction activities by working closely with organization’s operation and engineering team.

Responsibilities 

• Support AOP revenue plan, qualified and prepared needed test capacity (NPI, Capacity expansion) for OSAT.
• Support AOP GMII, yield improvement, variance yield improvement, test time reduction, insertion reduction and insertion elimination in OSAT.
• Drive for OSAT’s continuous test process and system management improvement towards overall process efficiency, 1st pass yield, scorecard, QTR (quarterly technical review) meetings and quality improvement (CIP).
• Establish Test & Backend Specification for OSATs.

Requirements

• BSEE or equivalent with 5+ years of management experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Demonstrated success managing multiple OSATs, projects, vendor coordination, and supporting high-reliability ramp schedules.
• Can lead yield optimization strategies, and cost-effective test planning.
• Experience across a broad set of product types: LNAs, switches, DVGA, drivers, PA  bias controllers, beamformers, up/downconverters.
• Familiarity with RF and mixed-signal test techniques.
• Strong statistical analysis proficiency (JMP, GRR, DOE, correlation).
• Excellent communication skills and leadership experience with a proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese preferred.
